Step 1 - Indicate intent to develop a proposal - now

Step 2 - Register team, submit proposal - 8 May 08
- SHaC 09 will cover some expenses (up to $500) and provide contacts, support, and site visits to help teams develop their proposal and seek out funding.
- Proposal includes: team members, your vision of your sustainable community, the type of housing you intend to design, and your sustainability goals in each judging category.
- Team proposal and supporting details deadline noon on 8th May 08.
Step 3 - Detailed Concept - 9 October 2008
- Develop concept, simulations and research to show how improvements will be made in each category.
- Detailed Concept Report includes Concept and supporting arguments and simulations to show anticipated improvements in each judging category.
- Team Detailed Concept Report due to SHaC 09 by 9th October 2008
Step 4 - Design Development - 11 December 2008
- Teams work through the details of their design and documentation
- Submit design and supporting documentation to local council and SHaC 09 by 11th December 2008.
Step 5 - Communications Checkpoint - April 2009
- Team communications campaign underway
- Report on Web Site, Workshop, and Open days at the site, and other communications activities
Step 6 - Construction, Fitout, and Communications
- Teams designs are being built. The house and final report are to be completed in September 09, with your team communications campaign well underway.
- Communications campaign developed and underway to describe the benefits of your house and how it supports a sustainable community.
- Complete house and fitout in September 2009. Judging in October 2009,
