I was disappointed to view the photos of the Dunedin project and note all the students wore hard hats, but not the instructor (?) up on the top with only a soft hat. He should be setting an example!

Thanks for the thought, but as you can see nothing could fall on his head. You only need a hard hat on when you risk something falling on your head. When you are clambering on frames it is not recommended practice to have a hard hat on.

Do you wear a hard hat when you are working on your project at home?
