Managing the Project

A video conference workshop was held with project managers from McConnell Property. Marc Gleeson and Charlotte Fitzgerald led the session.

The Session covered 4 topics:

The collaborative process teams used to develop their designs is formalised in the Integrated Design Protocol

Marc Gleeson, Project Manager

Marc joined McConnell Property in 2006 to manage the development of Ascot Central, a 5 level office building. He has qualifications in both architecture and construction and 17 years experience in the building industry across a broad range of industry sectors. He has worked with most industry participants including contractors, architects, project manager, developers and financiers.

As a construction project manager, Marc has managed the fitout of offices and retail shops. He has also worked as a developer-appointed project manager for a $7m glasshouse project in Tatura (Victoria), two self-storage facilities in Melbourne, office/ commercial premises for the RSPCA (Victoria), commercial office fitouts for HSBC Bank and HSBC Asset Management (Vi ctoria), a 20 level residential tower in Docklands (Melbourne), and over 60 defence houses for Defence Housing Australia.

Charlotte Fitzgerald, Community Development Manager

As Community Development Manager with McConnell Property, Charlotte provides a people context across residential and commercial / industrial projects and input into the organisation's sustainability strategy and culture. Charlotte has a wide property background, having also worked as a policy and research manager and lawyer.
